Frances Fuentes Davidson was born in Selma, TX. On February 6, 1930 to Segundino and Francisca Fuentes.
She became an orphan at a young age and was raised by her aunt and had such a difficult, unpleasant childhood. She grew up to be a very strong, intelligent, and independent woman.
She grew up on the west side of San Antonio where she attended Lanier High School.
In 1955 she started work at a cashmere sweater factory providing her skills to any in need from the delicate beadwork of bridal dresses to stitching and repair. In 1963, she met and married Raul Davidson. The two raised 3 children daughters and a son. Filled with compassion and interest in others, she made friends easily and maintained contact with many. She was an active volunteer, most notably for the Parent Teacher Association, even long after her own children had completed school. She was an active Catholic Parishioner at St. Leonard's Church and later attended The School Of Theology and received her diploma. She was a loving, funny, sarcastic, silly, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Once she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 11 years ago, Frances never gave up. She never complained, she continued her allegiance to the Spurs and delighted her visitors with a song and a smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Davidson and her daughter Linda Brumley. She is survived by her children, Christine (Alfonso) Aguilar, Mary (Thomas) Preston, and Robert (Suna) Cantu, her 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
