Francis "Frank" M. Cox, II, 67, died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his residence in Pahrump, NV.
He leaves his daughter, Brienne Whitley and husband E.J.; sons Conlin Cox and Damian Cox and wife, Adrienne. Sister Jan Cox; Brothers Phil and wife Dyne and Jeff Cox. Granddaughters Tara and husband Martin, Aniela, Brielle, and Camille. Grandsons Devon, Nathanael; and 2 great-grandchildren Mathew and Makinley.
Frank was born in Niagara Falls, New York October 23, 1949, and grew up in Lewiston NY. He attended University of South Carolina where he earned his Bachelors in Business Administration while playing collegiate level golf.
He worked for Foremost Insurance for nearly 30 years (Colorado Springs and San Antonio) before retiring, at which time he launched another career in the Golf Industry. He moved to Nevada to work as a Golf Professional and ultimately, became Director of the Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Association. While there, he shared his love of the sport and influenced the lives of many young people.
Family was his number one priority and his children knew how deeply he loved them. He was known for his big heart, positive outlook on life, sense of humor, and someone who had never met a stranger. He had a deep passion for the game of golf his entire life but he also other sports including basketball, baseball and football.
His favorite teams were the San Antonio Spurs, University of South Carolina Gamecocks, The University of Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank A. and Janet H Cox. He will be missed by many of his golfing friends across the United States.

The Viewing will be held on March 9, 2017 from 4-8PM at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapel Northeast location, 14315 Judson Rd., San Antonio TX 78233
The Funeral Mass will be held March 10, 2017 at 10AM at St. Helena’s Catholic Church, 14714 Edgemont, San Antonio, TX 78247 followed by grave side service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacodoches Rd., San Antonio, TX 78266
