Sgt. Fred G. Ybarbo entered rest on January 14, 2016 at the age of 86. As a student of life, Mr. Ybarbo was a voracious reader who learned and taught with a mix of spirited enthusiasm, keen observation & sincerity. His witty sense of humor, complemented by fatherly encouragement, served as a beacon of light for all. A World War II Veteran who enlisted in the Air Corps branch of the Army at the age of 17, Fred was stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, where he served with a photo reconnaissance squadron as an aerial photographer. A dedicated family man with a committed work ethic, he was a valued contributor to his community and society. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
