Frederick “Fred” G. Fawcett was born on February 11, 1940 in Winchester, Virginia. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Fred was 84 years of age.

Fred is survived by his brother Rick Fawcett, son Brian Fawcett, daughters Karen Fawcett & Michele Fawcett, Daughters-in-law Robin Fawcett & Rhonda Zamora, grandchildren Brad Fawcett, Dustin Fawcett, Jack Fawcett, Frankie Burch, Emma Kumler & Marin Kumler, and great-grandchildren Olivia Fawcett, Baker Fawcett, Brooks Fawcett, Maggie Fawcett, Mia Fawcett & Colt Fawcett. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Judith “Judy” L. Fawcett.

Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and soldier. His exemplary military service earned him many medals and honors, including the prestigious Soldier’s Medal. He will forever be remembered as a man of integrity and honesty, a hardworking patriot, and a wonderful friend who treated everyone he met with kindness and respect.
