George L Garcia "Cowboy George"

George "Cowboy George" Garcia, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on May 19, 1953, George was a man who embraced life with passion, humor, and a dedication to those he loved.

He is survived by his former wife, Alice Garcia; two children, Zacari L. Garcia (Jennifer), and Xavier L. Garcia; and his grandson, David Saenz III. George also leaves behind his siblings, Alfonso M. Garcia Jr., Esther Garcia, and Eva Garcia, along with numerous nieces and nephews, with a host of family and friends who were fortunate to know him.

George was predeceased by his parents, Alfonso M. Garcia Sr. and Eva Garcia, and his brother, Arnold Garcia.

In the coming days, family and friends are invited to celebrate George's life and legacy. There will be a visitation on January 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South, located at 3520 South Flores Street in San Antonio, Texas. This will be followed by a prayer service at 6:30 PM.

A Mass in George's honor will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, located at 535 E Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78211 on January 9, 2025, starting at 12:30 PM. The day will conclude with a graveside service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:45 PM.
