Mr. Escobedo, a veteran of the Vietnam War, was awarded multiple honors for his service including the Bronze Medal with Oakleaf Cluster. He was a loving husband to his deceased wife, Sylvia. He was a great supporter of his children's endeavors but most especially enjoyed his grandchildren's activities. He is survived by his daughter, Leah and son-in-law, Santos; his son, Gregory and daughter-in-law, Becca; his son, Gilbert II and daughter-in-law, Candice; son, Garrett; grandchildren, September, Brogan, Sierra, Sydney, Santos III, Lola, Eve, Eden, Garren, Gisele, Mila, Teagan, and Emmalee; great grandsons, Joel and Warren; mother, Trinidad; and brothers, Arturo and Juan. Mr. Escobedo's sense of humor and bar-b-que skills will be greatly missed. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, June 16, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 with a moment to share at 6:30 at Puente and Son's on Judson Rd. and burial to be held at Fort Sam Houston on Wednesday morning at 10:30.
