Gilbert G. Hernandez

I am heartbroken to announce the passing of my brother Gilbert G. Hernandez. He passed away peacefully and entered into the Lord's kingdom on May 12, 2022 at the age of 69. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 12, 1952. He is preceded in death by our parents, Julian Hernandez and Mary Mejias. Grandparents, Modesto and Maria Hernandez and Luciano and Juanita Gomez. He is survived by his wife, Esther Hernandez who he loved dearly and worried about her till the very end. Sister, Irene Garcia; nephew, Ruben Garcia; niece, Ja’net Garza and her husband Santos. Grandnieces, Brianna, Lori, and Marina Garcia; Adara and Analeah Garza and his cousin Ray Lares and his wife Laura. Gilbert will be remembered for his love of cooking for the holidays and for his summer barbecuing. As a child and into adulthood he loved to work on car model kits and vehicle detailing. He loved his animals Baby, Ms. Meowy and Mariah. He enjoyed different varieties of music, movies and wrestling shows. He loved the holidays and always coordinated matching colors for he and Esther to wear. He would often share how he enjoyed the company of his neighbors and their evenings on the patio.

Gilbert will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
