Gilbert Matthew Herrera

Gilbert Matthew Herrera, 34, was born on April 15, 1990 in Seguin, Texas. He passed away in San Antonio, Texas on July 31, 2024. He is survived by his mother, Christine Lopez and his father, Gilbert Herrera, three brothers, Fernando "Mick" Gonzales, Cory Herrera, and Michael Herrera, and sister in law Amanda Herrera, his grandparents Hercilia and Augustine Lopez, Aunt Carmen and Uncle Robert Valdez, Uncle Augustine Lopez Jr., plus numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and three step sisters, and countless friends. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Nazario and Prudencia Herrera.

Gilbert was known for his radiant smile and compassionate nature, always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a heart of gold. He loved barbecuing and jamming music for family and friends, spending time shooting darts with his brothers, drinking a cold one on a hot day, and also loved playing and spending time with his favorite girl Sasha, his puppy. Gilbert's unwavering devotion to his family and his genuine, caring personality made him an exceptional individual who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
