Gloria Jean Mendoza, a beloved matriarch and vibrant spirit, was born on January 22, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity, residing in the same cherished community until her passing on September 3, 2024. Gloria was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.

Gloria's life overflowed with joy and laughter, especially during gatherings where her smile brightened the room. She had a passion for bingo that brought excitement to her days and a true affection for music that filled her home with melody. Her interests extended beyond games and tunes; she held a deep love for her Saints, relishing in the stories and dramas of her beloved novelas. Her loyal companion, Ginger, a cherished dog, was a constant source of comfort in her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Mendoza, Mother Anita Enriquez, and grandson Austin Derek Moreno, whose memory remains a cherished part of the family's history. Together, they shared countless moments of joy, and their absence will be felt deeply.

Gloria is survived by her beloved children, Rudy Moreno (Helen), Elizabeth Moreno (Diane), Gloria Martinez (Veronica), and Larry Moreno (Mariana) who carry forward her spirit and love. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, including Jennifer, Evelyn, Amber, and Julie, along with 7 great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends, each of whom brought her immense happiness and joy.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gloria's life at a Prayer Service on September 21, 2024, at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM, both held at St. James Catholic Church located at 907 West Theo Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78225. It is a moment for all who knew and loved her to come together, reflect on the beautiful moments shared, and share in the grief of her loss.

In every gathering, every joyful note of music, and every cherished memory of her beloved shows, Gloria Jean Mendoza's spirit will live on, reminding us of the importance of family, love, and the joyous moments we create together. She will be missed deeply, but her legacy of love will remain in the hearts of those who adored her.
