Gregory Celeski

Gregory L. Celeski, 67, a 20-year resident of McHenry, Illinois passed away on July 15, 2023 following a cardiac arrest. He was born in Fort Devens, Massachusetts to Raymond and Louise Celeski.

He attended Richard King HS, Corpus Christi, TX and received his Associates Degree in Industrial Mid-Management from Pierce College and was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the study of Kinesiology at UTSA. He is married to Cathy Stephan of Chicago, Illinois and spent his life supporting his family as a role model of integrity and in pursuit of adventures. His love of learning guided his energy toward mastery of his guitar and his love of the outdoors fueled his spirit by surfing, skiing, snorkeling, mountain biking and hiking.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Celeski, son Joshua Celeski (wife Melissa) of Portland, TX, son Justin Celeski of Milwaukee, WI; 3 grandchildren: Noah, Benjamin, and Isabella Celeski all of Portland, TX; his sister Lynda Fredrickson of Bend, OR, sister Colleen Celeski and brother Raymond Celeski both of Oklahoma City, OK; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Greg was an avid baseball fan. He played, coached and attended games throughout the United States. He loved traveling and sharing his experiences with others. Funeral services will be held at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels in San Antonio, TX on July 30, 2023.
