Gregory Lynn Gallow 63, passed away unexpectedly at home Tuesday evening October 15, 2024.
Greg was born June 9th,1961, in Beaumont, Tx to the late Joseph Carroll Gallow and Frances Louise Bowles-Gallow. He is also proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother Louvenia Bowles, paternal grandparents August and Pearl Veazie-Gallow, brother Kenneth Ray Gallow, and Floyd (Bebe) Trustie III who was like a brother to Greg, his in-laws Deacon Manuel G and Lydia Carranco, and brother-in law, Alexander Sauceda Carranco.
Greg graduated from South Park H.S Class of 1980, Go Greenies! He received his degree from Lamar Institute of Technology. Greg worked in the retail industry for over 30 years in sales, merchandising, and management. His first job was with Eckerd Drug in Beaumont, TX. Other jobs he worked at included Dickson Furniture, Walmart, and AutoZone.
Greg was of the Catholic faith. He attended Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Beaumont where he received all of his sacraments. After moving to San Antonio, he married the love of his life, Joyce Marie Carranco-Gallow at St. Matthew Catholic Church on Aug 21, 1994. They made their forever church home at St. Helena Catholic Church. Greg was a thoughtful, loving man who sometimes had trouble expressing his emotions but loved his family, whether near or far, with his whole entire heart. His hobbies included fishing and hunting, watching the San Antonio Spurs and car racing, and spending time with his beloved daughter’s dog Kiah. Greg is survived by his wife Joyce of 30 yrs. (formally of Beeville, Tx); son, Gregory Paul Gallow Sr. (Desiree); Daughters, Sade Elise Gallow and Anisa Jade Gallow; his grandchildren, Jasmine G’Nai, Aliyah Jade and Gregory Paul Gallow Jr.; his brother, Micheal (Denise), and his sisters, Danna Gallow, Shervonne “Sherrelle” Gallow of Beaumont, TX; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Sandra Kay, Arnold (Jessica), Lawrence (Kelli), Micheal Paul, Manuel Jr., and Lucas Carranco; his nieces and nephews, Shaunice (Mike) Collins, Demarques Orabo, Brittany Breckenridge, Aaron, Ashley, Audrey, Claudia, Sophia, Quinn, Gabriel, and Kate Carranco. He is also survived by his great-nephews, Micheal III & Markell Collins, and Enzo & Emir Guerrero.
Visitation will take place on Monday, Oct. 21,2024, at Puente & Sons Funeral Home located at 14315 Judson Rd San Antonio, Tx. 78233, from 4 to 8 pm with the Holy Rosary at 6:30pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 22nd at 10:00 am at Saint Helena Catholic Church located at 14714 Edgemont St. with Father Charles Ugo officiating. Burial will travel to Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 in Beeville, Tx. The estimated time of arrival is at 1:30 pm.
