Guadalupe C. Mendoza

Guadalupe Calderon Mendoza entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at her home in San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Mendoza was a lifetime educator and retired as a Special-Education Teacher from the Corpus Christi ISD. She was preceded in death by her son, Florentino Mendoza III; her brothers, Fermin Calderon, Julio Calderon and Guillermo Calderon. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Florentino Mendoza Jr.; her daughter, Gloria (Louis) Ramirez; her sons, Michael Mendoza (Lourdes), Patrick Mendoza (Maria) and William Mendoza; her daughter-in-law, Eva Mendoza; as well as her sister Maria Elena Ramirez; her brother, Eulalio Calderon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Puente & Sons Funeral Chapel in San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, November13, 2014 at 9:30 AM-11:00 AM, with Rosary to be recited at 11:00 AM and Mass to follow at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78228. The family wishes to thank her caregiver Hilda Vasques Mandujano and Christus Hospice and staff for the loving care of their mother, especially her nurse Deborah Lundquist, Chaplin Alfonso Orocio, and Bertha Gonzales.
