Guadalupe R. Torres

Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ Rodriguez Torres was born on July 10th, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas to Isaac and Dominga Rodriguez. She peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 6th, 2022 at the age of 90. Lupe is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Dominga Rodriguez; former spouse, Luis Y. Torres; sons, Luis Torres Jr. and Samuel Torres. She is survived by her children, Tomas Torres and wife (Margaret), Anthony Torres and wife (Linda), and Jesus Torres Sr. and wife (Maria del Rosario); sisters, Sulema G. Richardson and Rosa G. Gonzalez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lupe worked in healthcare as a CNA before she retired. She greatly treasured family and friends and always had wonderful stories to share. Lupe was a strong-willed woman with a caring nature and her family and friends will greatly miss her charisma, love and laughter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 from 4 pm until 8 pm, with a Rosary at 6:30 pm at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapel, 3520 South Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78204. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022 at 10 am for a 10:30 am funeral mass at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2004 Chihuahua St., San Antonio, Texas 78207. Interment will follow at 12 pm at San Fernando Cemetery No. II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237.
