The Devine Infant Jesus stood by his side all during his journey and on June 19, 2011 gently embraced him with his outstretched arms and called him home to be with our Lord. Gualberto Javier Garcia "Guale" beloved son, brother, friend and confidant was born on January 24, 1964 in Alpine, Texas and raised in Marathon, Texas. He graduated salutatorian out of a class of 722 students from Canyon High School in Canyon Country, California in 1983. He attended Texas AM University in Bryan, Texas where he participated in the Aggie ROTC program. He was a retail manager for many years. Guale was also an actor and set designer for The Theater Company in Bryan, Texas where he received distinguished recognition. His creative back-drops brought life to each play act the company produced.
His genuine and outgoing personality made him a caring and loyal friend. He was a very giving person to his peers, friends and family. He had a deep faith in our Lord and was very devoted to the Devine Infant Jesus. Even in his darkest hours he managed to always propagate his love and devotion to the Devine Infant Jesus and in doing so helped others find peace. He did not leave us to labor our own journeys alone for you see it is through Guale that we have come to know our divine Lord and savior more intimately. Guale taught us to be selfless as he dedicated all his prayers to those in need.
He had a love for life and lived it to the fullest. Guale had a wonderful sense of humor and his infectious laughter would always bring a smile to your face. He loved to cook, bake, dance and craft and he cherished family gatherings. He loved to share memories he captured in his photos. His favorite time of year was Christmas when his decorating baking and cooking would be the envy of Martha Stuart.
God blessed us with Guale's very special presence and we will miss him dearly. He is survived by his parents Alicia and Alberto U. Garcia, his siblings Sylvia Cobos, Irene Primera, Lauro Garcia, Loretta Garcia, his nephews Marcus and Lucas Garcia and his nieces Amanda and Ana Primera and his many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We have a new angel in heaven and his name is Gualberto.
