Gumecindo "Gene" Rivera, Jr. born July 31, 1939 in McAllen, Texas passed from this life on March 28, 2015 at the age of 75. Mr. Rivera was preceded in death by his father, Gumecindo Rivera, Sr., his brothers and sister, Max, Joe and Mayte Rivera. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Rivera, Laura Rivera, Cynthia Medellin and Paula Gonzales; his mother, Dominga Rivera; his brother, Roland Rivera; his sisters, Maggie Trujillo, Esperanza Vasquez, Susie Coronado; his beloved grandchildren, Adrienne Ramirez, Elainne Ramirez, Trey Ramirez, Christopher Ramirez, Ariel Mendez, DJ Medellin, Louis Medellin, Alex Medellin, Zarina Medellin, Nathaniel Medellin, and Brandon Edminson; his great grand-daughters, Ashlinn Johnson and Julia Ramirez; also numerous other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever.
