Hector Villarreal, a loving husband, father, and honorable man, comfortably entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2020 at his home in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his loving wife and family at the age of 76.
Mr. Villarreal was born October 4, 1943 in San Benito, Texas. He is a 1962 San Benito High School graduate where he participated in A Capella Choir, concentrated on business management coursework, and excelled as a stellar varsity athlete on the basketball team, football team, and track team.
After High School, Mr. Villarreal quickly discovered his passion for the automotive industry wherein he later perfected his skills as an excellent car salesman for over thirty years while living in San Antonio. As a fair, honest, and hardworking businessman, he always went the extra mile as he worked with his customers to satisfy their desire to make the most affordable deal.
In his spare time, Mr. Villarreal also indulged in his passion as an avid fisherman, and particularly enjoyed taking in this peaceful experience on the beautiful waters of Port Aransas, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Ramón Jr. and Bertha Villarreal, and his brothers Reynaldo and Arnold Villarreal.
He leaves behind his loving wife Mary Teresa “Teri” Newton Villarreal, sons Hector Matthew (wife Magda) Villarreal from McAllen, TX, Ronald Lee “Ron” Villarreal from Denver, CO, Timothy “TJ” Villarreal, from San Antonio, TX, and daughter Trinity Elizabeth Villarreal from San Antonio, TX. Siblings: Gloria McQuarrie from Ocala, FL, Juan Manual “Johnny” (wife Maria) Villarreal from Harlingen, TX, Raymond (wife Oralia) Villarreal from Temple, TX, Carmen (husband Jose) Lopez from San Antonio, TX, and Lourdes Villarreal from Pepitas, TX. Grandchildren: Matthew Abraham (wife Kelly) Villarreal, and Joshua Aaron Villarreal, M.D., from Houston, TX, Raeanne Elizabeth Ontiveros, Raelena Teresa Ontiveros, Adam Lucian Morales, and Timothy Edward Morales from San Antonio, TX.
Mr. Villarreal will be missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended relatives and dear friends.

The pallbearers will be: Gerard Anthony Newton Sr., Gerard Anthony Jr., Timothy Morales, Joseph Lopez, LMSW, Matthew Abraham Villarreal, and Joshua Aaron Villarreal, M.D.
It was Hector's wish to be cremated. His ashes will be scattered privately in Port Aransas.
Puente and Sons Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
