Herlinda R. Ortiz

Herlinda R Ortiz, born October 8th, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas, passed away surrounded by her family on April 13th, 2025 in Pleasonton, Texas.

Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend known for her loud laugh and story telling. Linda's love for her grandchildren was unmatched. From flying to Hawaii to see her first grandson Joe Luis being born and being there with Alex and Anthony. The love she showed to them was beautiful.

In her later years, she enjoyed watching (Murder She Wrote) amongst other shows. She also enjoyed her Diet Coke and chocolate candies and always blamed everyone else for finishing them.

We would like to thank New Century Hospice for their service; nurse Jackie, Amanda, and aid Ofelia for taking care of our mother. Showing your love and being so kind.

To our cousins Frank and Ericka, Phil, Natalia, Naomi; for giving her your love and pampering her, she loved it.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose P. Ortiz; her parents Candelario T. Rodriguez and Amelia F. Rodriguez; her sisters Beatrice (BB) and Graciela Rodriguez (Gracie).

Linda's legacy will live on through her children Oscar R. Ortiz (Alma), Christina O. Huizar (Joe); her grandchildren whom she loved cherished them dearly, Joe Luis Huizar (Arlene), Alex Michael Ortiz-Huizar (Brianna), Anthony Huizar, and Isaiah Michael Ortiz, and great-grandson Jesse Reed. Linda will also be deeply missed by her brothers Hector Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez, sisters Maria Gamez and Rosalinda Coronado along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
