Imogene Heck, 82 of Helotes, Texas was called to rest December 18th, 2022.
Born February 22, 1940, to Hershel J.Heck and Virginia Taylor of Boggstown, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Norman Wayne, Wayne Edwin, and Ernest Harley Jr. Sisters; Sandra, Linda Purdue, and Paulette Dearth.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons; Rick Gragg (Denise),David Green (Krista), daughters, Alison Gragg, Janette Gragg (Willie Vorhes),Lisa Gragg, brother Zane Harley (Ellen); Grandchildren which gave her great joy, Great Grandchildren who always made her smile, and wonderful nephew, nieces, family and friends who meant so much.
Imogene had many accomplishments; She retired from RCA where she was an accountant. She got her Business Management degree from Eckert College.
She was very proud to serve her country in the US Army and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant after almost 18 years. She held many positions; admin specialist, recruiter, senior instructor, and was the only woman in Drill Sergeant School in a class of 113.
She was active in the American Legion Post #410 of Lake Hills, Texas, and was elected the first woman Commander.
She was an active member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
As a member of The Western Heritage Cowboy Church she truly enjoyed the many friendships she made with her church family.
We will Celebrate her Life January 21st at The Western Heritage Cowboy Church, 1746 FM 1283, Pipe Creek, Texas.
Join us for a light lunch at 12:30pm provided by the Hospitality Team. Service to follow at 2pm.
We will share memories together in her honor.
