Irene K. Long

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother went home to be with her Lord on August 20, 2011. She was residing in San Antonio, TX at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard Lyle Long. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Michael) McDowell of San Antonio and Joyce (William) Carson of Ocklawaha, FL and sons Darrell (Jenny) Long of Crescent, IA and David Long of Council Bluffs, IA. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. All of us will miss her greatly. The family wished to thank Harbour Hospice for their care and support of Irene and her family in her final days. Services will be held on August 27 at 10:30 A.M. at University Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers she asked that donations be made to the Richard and Mabel Leyda Scholarship Fund at University Baptist Church 6465 Babcock Road, San Antonio, TX 78249 or to Harbour Hospice at 12915 Jones Maltzburger, San Antonio, TX 78247.
