Irene Merisola

Irene Merisola entered eternal rest at the age of 80 surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023.

She is preceeded in death by her mother Helen Alcide, sister Rita Alcide, and brother Rosendo Alcide.

Irene was born in Yorktown, Texas. She eventually moved to San Antonio and graduated from Burbank High School and worked Civil Service until her retirement.

Irene had a passion for writing, travel, gardening, photography and painting. Many of her photos and paintings were featured in local shows and she won multiple awards. One of her other favorite pastimes was entertaining. She loved hosting parties and bbq’s in her garden and always made memorable holiday events.

Irene is survived by her husband Douglas Ralph Merisola, daughter Kathrine Galvan, daughter Karin M. Rocamontes and husband John, son Jeffery Allen Jasso and wife Sonia.

She was a proud grandmother and is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Caitlan, Julian, Kylie, Leslie, Julianna, Joseph and great grandchildren: Adela and Cynthia.
