Irene Pulley

December 24, 1935 — January 9, 2024

Irene was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts to John "Sapatiero" Pimental. a shoe cobbler and Mary Barros Pimental, a seamstress.  Irene was well known and loved by her hometown and won several beauty pageants.  She was raised in the Catholic faith and received her first confirmation at the age of eight at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in New Bedford.  She grew up surrounded by a large loving family and after graduation, earned her nursing degree.

Marriage brought her to Texas, where she met her devoted and loving husband Howard, affectionately known as "Jerry".  Together they raised three daughters, Lora, Rachel, and Nicole.  On January 17th they would have celebrated their 58th anniversary.

There are not enough words to describe Irene.  Of course, she is a beautiful inside as out, she had an affinity for the elderly and children, and her personality resonated with everyone she encountered.  She was kind to everyone she met, full of spunk and loved to have a good time.  She had many great friends throughout her life and fulfilled her earthly purpose as a faithful Wife, Mother, Sister, Nana, Great-Grandmother, Nurse, friend, and Woman of God.

Irene is survived by her husband Jerry, sister Carol Pimental, daughters Lora Foley, Rachel Foley and Nicole Pulley, grandsons John Walker III and Eddie Williams, granddaughter Savannah Walker, great-granddaughter Jaida Williams, several cousins, and a host of friends.

The family extends a heart-felt that you for your kind words and gestures along with the unwavering support during this difficult time.
