Irma Estela Betancourt

Irma Estela Betancourt, a beloved member of the San Antonio community, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on December 31, 1944, in Mexico, Irma embodied a personality characterized by her humor, love, selflessness, and a constant desire to help others. Her laughter and kindness were a testament to the vibrant spirit she carried throughout her life.

Irma's passion for dancing and her love for travel enriched her life and the lives of those around her. She had a unique ability to bring joy and warmth to every gathering, making her a cherished friend and family member. Irma's presence will be deeply missed, as she touched many hearts with her generous spirit.

She is survived by her loving children, Hector Hernandez, Rubi Betancourt, Jorge Herrera, and Armando Herrera, along with her cherished grandchildren, Nixaly Hernandez, Damaris Hernandez, Chris Casas, Javier Carrion, and Andres Carrion. Their memories of her will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents Faustino and Sefernia Hernandez, and her son, Sergio Hernandez. The legacy of love and laughter she leaves behind will remain etched in the hearts of her family and friends.

Viewing services for Irma will take place on April 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, South, located at 3520 South Flores Street, San Antonio, TX 78204. A Rosary will follow the viewing, starting at 2:30 PM and ending at 3:00 PM.
