Jacob Western Allen
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,Moves on: nor all your Piety nor WitShall lure it back to cancel half a Line,Nor all your Tears wash out a Word of it.
Rubayiat of Omar Khayyam; Rendered into English Verse by Edward Fitzgerald
Jacob was bright and full of promise.
He carried a heavier burden than any of us.
He carried it as well as he could.
I think of his burden a cross which rested on his shoulder and which he as now laid down. As Jacob crosses the river we can be assured that his cross is large enough to aid him in his crossing.. We pray and are sure that he will rise from the river in peace, joy and contentment.
We pay for Austin, who is Jacobs arrow in to the future and his legacy to us. We pray for JoAnn who now carries much of Jacobs burden.
