James "Jamie" Mitchell passed on from this life Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the age of 47 in San Antonio, Tx. Jamie was an avid fisherman. He grew up in Laredo, Tx where he owned Jamie's Lock and Key and spent time in Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, and Texas as a home builder.
Before he passed, he was forming a mobile pizza business from his truck to feed the homeless because he actually experienced being homeless many years ago. Jamie had the heart of God's servant. He is dearly loved by so many and survived by his mother, Sharyn Louise Dacbert (San Antonio, Tx); sisters, Shelley Mitchell (Boynton Beach, Fl) and Jaclyn Mitchell (San Antonio, Tx); uncle, Michael Varhely, and aunt and uncles, Brenda and Robert Key; brother-in-law, Jimmy Kahl; and nieces and nephews, Caleb Sessions, Chloe Mitchell, Noah Mitchell-Kahl, Isabella Kahl, Franchesca Kahl, and Brydgette Kahl. Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. "Mitch" Mitchell III (Laredo, Tx).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to... "The Jamie Mitchell Foundation" payable to Jaclyn Mitchell with a note in the memo (until the foundation is fully formed in a few weeks, applications have been submitted to the State of Texas for a 501c3 non-profit to serve the homeless in Jamie Mitchell's honor. Please include your email address so that we may keep you abreast of the foundation's happenings.)
