Janie D. Garza passed away April 24, 2024. Janie was the loving wife of 49 years to Manuel A. Garza, together they loved to travel and enjoy life. She retired from the City of San Antonio Visitors and Convention Bureau after 29 years, moved to Devine, Texas to enjoy the country life. Janie always went out of her way to help others, a very caring and loving person. Janie was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 5, 1953 to Antonia (Lopes) and Eugenio Campos and grandparents Jesus and Martina Lopes and Martina and Isidoro Campos. She graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School.
Janie is survived by her husband Manuel A. Garza and her siblings Rudy Campos, Alicia Perez, Ramon Campos, Eugene Campos and Rosa Campos; and numerous nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. Preceded in death by siblings Roberto Campos, Isidoro (Lalo) Campos, Connie Avalos, and Fred Campos.
Services are on Friday, May 17 with a 10:30 AM Rosary and 11:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 N. Evans Rd., Selma, Texas 78154.
