Jesse Zuniga passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009 at 2:45 p.m.Jesse was a Vietnam veteran in the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army. While he was in Vietnam, he was lost for 21 days under U.S.C. 972 from Feb. 13 through March 3, 1970.Jesse loved his family. His grandchildren were the center of his attention. His hobby was to work on cars and he had a love for 59 Chevys.He is preceded in death by his father, Abran Zuniga and his sister Gloria Z. Cordero.He is survived by the love of his life for 39 years, Yolanda S. Zuniga; children Abraham and Jessie Zuniga, Lupe and Mario Peralta, Bea and Jose Castillo; grandchildren Christian, Antonia, Fabian, Adrian, Gloria, Gilbert, Angelina and Annabell; mother Felicitaz R. Zuniga; sisters and brothers Rosie Z. and Chris Tristan Sr., Ofelia Z. Longoria, Janie Z. and Herculano Longoria, Andria Z. Robert Espinoza, Maria Z. and Richard Delgado, Tony and Linda Zuniga, Eluterio and Sylvia Zuniga, Richard and Darlean Zungia and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Arthur Longoria, Ricarido Contreras, Ismael Reyes, Aaron Gonzales, Marcos Sierra and Beto Rubio.Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Tristan Jr. and Paul P.T. Tristan.He will be so dearly missed, but we will meet again.Viewing will be Thursday, Jan. 22 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapel in New Braunfels. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church in San Marcos. Interment will follow in Memory Lawn Memorial Park.Services by Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels, (830) 624-0500.
