DAD,
He never looked for praises, he was never one to boast, he just went on quietly working, for the ones he loved the most.
His dreams were seldom spoken, his wants were very few, and most of the times his worries, went unspoken too.
He was there…a firm foundation, through all our storms of life, a sturdy hand to hold on to, in times of stress and strife.
A true friend we can turn to when times were good or bad. One of our greatest blessings is…. the man we called DAD.

Joe T. Gutierrez was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father at the age of 64. Joe was born October 26, 1955 to Simon Gutierrez and Josephina Torrez in Losoya, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and loyal friend that will be dearly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Simon and Josephina and his 2 brothers Simon and Francisco and sister Feliz. Joe touched everyone who knew him by his consistent faith and never accepting negativity in dealing with life. Joe is survived by his wife Alicia Gutierrez, daughters Monica Pacheco, Pamela Rodriguez, Tracy (Cecilia) Gutierrez, Jo Ann Gutierrez, Kandice (Stella) Gutierrez and son Joe (Cassidy) Gutierrez. As well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Brother of Benjamin Gutierrez, Anastacio Gutierrez, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Juan Gutierrez and sister Mary Ann.
Joe graduated from McCollum High School and received his associates at Alamo Area Council of Governments when he also got his peace officer training. Joe was a man of many traits’ mechanic, carpenter, plumber, and so much more he was your regular MacGyver, if it was broke he would fix it, no matter what it was, he always saw life in things. Joe enjoyed fishing and making knives, drag racing and restoring old vehicles and so much more.
Services will be held at Puente Funeral Home beginning at 6:30 pm on Monday May 11, 2020. Tuesday May 12, 2020 at 1000 am, Joe will be laid to rest at El Carmen Cemetery located at 18555 Leal Rd.
