John Blaine, born on February 11, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on January 25, 2025, in League City, Texas. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his passion for music and the love he had for his family.
John was an accomplished trumpet player, whose enjoyment of music resonated throughout his life. His talents brought joy not only to himself but to those who had the pleasure of knowing him and experiencing his musical gifts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Louise Evans; sons: John Marshall, Adam, who is married to Sarah, Ryan, who is married to Sherry, and Brandon, who is married to Bre; grandchildren: Peyton, Savannah, Wyatt, Sammy, Nathan, Ava and Brooke, who he cherished.
John was also surrounded by a supportive family of siblings, including Kim (Gladys), Scott (Andrea), Anita, Emma (John William), Liz, and Bea. These relationships were a source of strength and closeness throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Butler Kimball Mauldin and Winona Lou Merrell, and his brother, Henry Quinn Mauldin.
A memorial service to honor John will take place on Saturday February 22, 2025, at 4:00PM at venue to be determined in Kyle or Austin, Texas.
John's musical spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
