John Derral Pride, Jr.

Saying goodbye to a fellow son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and loving friend, John Derral Pride, Jr., better known as Sparky passed away July 18, 2010 at the age of 65. Sparky was born October 29, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to John Derral and Wilma Jean Pride. He graduated from Harlandale High School in 1963 and served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965. He was the owner of American Welding and operated his own business since 1978. He is survived by his mother, Wilma Pride; ex-wife, Rachelle Pride; son, Jarrett Pride; daughter, Jennifer Pride; grandson, Sebastian; sister, Nancy (Stanley) McDonald; brother, Charlie (Kim) Pride; numerous nieces and nephews; and last but not least his beloved dog Baxter. Sparky loved welding, photography, playing the harmonica, hunting, fishing and anything to do with the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all.

Memorials:
A private memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date.

Cemetery:
It was his wish to be cremated.
