CMSgt John Edward Jemison, USAF Ret, a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas
passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born
October 1, 1932 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Barnette W. Jemison and Edna Halker
Jemison.
John's career with the USAF spanned over 24 years in the logistics field and included service in Vietnam. After retiring from the USAF, John went to work for Civil Service at Defense Mapping Agency in San Antonio, TX, where he had his second retirement.
John was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Bornetta Jemison, Dennis Jemison, and James Ray Jemison; and two sisters: Edna Mae Bordelon and Beverly Bash.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Jemison; daughters, Debbie Jemison and Kim De Los Santos (Ernie De Los Santos); brother, Paul Jemison (Sharon); numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends and extended family.

John enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was a wonderful husband and father and a great friend to those who knew him.
John will be buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
