Pastor John E. Torres age 60, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. Pastor John was born on April 28, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas to Petra Z. Torres and John R. Torres. Pastor John was preceded in death by his father, John R. Torres; his mother, Petra Z. Torres; his brothers, Victorio Z. Torres and Peter J. Torres; and his nephew Paul Micahel Cadena.

Pastor John is survived by his loving spouse Elizabeth Torres; his sons, John J. (Heather) Torres and Joshua A. ( Jasmine) Torres; his daughters, Marsha M. (Steven) Kushnir and Melody A. (Abisai) Aguilar); his sister, Janey (David) Torres-Negrete; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Diane Torres; his grandchildren, Nevada E. Torres, John E. Torres, Nathan A. Torres, Elizabeth Z. Torres-Rodriguez, Klarisza A.Torres-Rodriguez, Gerardo E. Torres-Rodriguez, Harmony M. Torres-Rodriguez, Aliyah J. Torres.

“Faithful Unto Death”

Pastor: Dr. John E. Torres one of the most faithful ministers we have known, and with whom and his wife have labored, during these thirty-seven years of ministry, has been called into higher and happier service.

His mortal breath ceased Monday, December 21, 2020, at 3:48 AM. His humble, yet brave spirit took its flight to realms of peace and laid back his peaceful face.

Pastor John was faithful to his Lord.
He loved the God he worshiped.
He loved to minister and teach God’s word.
He was a man of integrity.

Pastor John was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a gentleman in his home. He was congenial yet firm in his home life. He loved his wife dearly. The love they shared for forty years and 6 months was so special and unique.

His words were always; “Good relationships don’t just happen. They take time, patience, and two people who truly want to be together.” Pastor John’s words were; “May God always be the center of our marriage, be gracious unto us, and may your radiant glow shine upon us”

We will miss him more as the days lengthen the shadows of his passing. We will miss him at church, family gatherings, and most of all in the home of his loving family.
His family rise up to call him blessed.
