John Gregory Dawe

John Gregory (Greg) Dawe of Universal City, TX died at the age of 71 in his home on July 29, 2017. Greg was born in DuQuoin, Illinois to Charles and Alma Dawe on July 3, 1946. Greg served in the US Navy aboard the USS Wisconsin. He also worked in the coal mines in Illinois and retired as an Independent truck driver. He married Nancy Karnes on July 3, 1975 the love of his life. They were married until her death in 2015. He was a loving Father to 5 children and Grandfather to 9 grandchildren.

Greg was preceded in death by his Parents (Charles and Alma), wife (Nancy), son (Christopher), brother (George). He was survived by his son Brad (Fran) Dawe from Texas City, TX, daughter Lisa (Ed) Trafton from Schertz, TX, son James (Verline) from Schertz, TX, daughter Jennifer Edwards from San Antonio, TX. 9 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and friends that he considered family.

Greg will be interred at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at 1015 am.
