John Ronald Kuennen of San Antonio, Texas age 49 passed away January 28, 2014.
He was born April 15th, 1964 in Lawler, Iowa to Ronald and Kathryn Kuennen.
John always showed his love and devotion to his daughter, Katy. His pride and joy!
John had a passion for his Iowa upbringing. He was a graduate of Turkey Valley and
Hawkeye Tech. His love of photography brought him to Texas. He then had a cross-
country career building golf courses. Deciding to stay in San Antonio he went into commercial construction. He was a member of BOMA & SAABE.
John had a strong commitment to his faith. He was a devout Catholic and a member
of St. Helena’s Catholic Church. He was active in the St. Helena’s Knight’s of Columbus and served as the Grand Knight. Every Easter he headed up the Easter Egg Hunt as an example of his love for community and children.
John is survived by his father, Ronald Kuennen, daughter, Kathryn Dubbels, sister,Carol,
brother, Dave and wife Jacquie, brother, Pat and wife Kris, sister, Mary, sister, Veronica
and husband Brian. He was a loving Uncle to Brian, Emily, Sam, Abby, Jake, Ryan,
Riley, Reagan and Ryder.
He will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him. There is peace in knowing
he will be joining his mother (Kay), whom he absolutely adored.
