John “Johnny” M. Gomez departed from this world on June 22, 2018. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Francisca Gomez, wife; Andrea Gomez, and two sons, Richard M. Gomez and Robert T. Gomez, as well as five of his sisters. He leaves behind his five daughters, five sisters, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sergeant Johnny Gomez was an honored veteran who served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After the war, Johnny worked as a truck driver for the Yellow Frieght System, as an honorary Deputy Constable for Bexar County, and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
