Jose Jesus Chavez Sr.

Musician at heart and Veteran Jose J Chavez Sr (Joe/Looney) passed away on March 22, 2022 at the age of 70.

He was born to Guadalupe and Anita on December 14, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up on the East side of town, but his love for music allowed him to travel all of San Antonio and surrounding areas. He took his leadership roles very seriously. He enjoyed taking rides from one side of town to another and liked to recall how things use to be.

Joe is survived by his children he loved very much, a son, Jose J Chavez Jr; a daughter, Cherie Marie Chavez-Estrada; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2 pm on April 9, 2022 at the Puente & Sons funeral chapels at 3520 S. Flores; San Antonio, TX 78204. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the immediate family, it would be greatly appreciated.
