Jose L. Gaytan

Jose L. Gaytan (Jr., Joe) was born November 26, 1952 and entered into rest on January 11, 2018 in Schertz, Texas at the age of 65. He passed peacefully into the tender warm arms of his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family.

He is welcomed home into Gods Kingdom by his father, Luis Gaytan.

Joe is survived by his adoring children Rebecca (Duane) Zimmerman, Jessica Gaytan, Cassandra (Jarrod) Perales, Joe L. Gaytan; grandchildren Claudia Gaytan, Steven Contreras, Ariel Zimmerman, Brandon Zimmerman, Marcelino Gaytan and Julius Perales; and great-grandchild Attikus Gaytan-Woodfork; mother Aurora Gaytan; siblings Elena (Bill) Bumbalough, Ramon (Margie) Gaytan, Victoria (Mike) Martinez, Fernando Gaytan, Rosendo (CC) Gaytan, and Aurora Gaytan. Jr is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe had numerous favorite past times. He loved to dance and write poetry. He also loved to travel. His heart belonged to the open road. He was always willing and quick to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Joe was a hardworking man who put other's needs first. He was a man who helped many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Joe will live on in the cherished memories of his family and friends.
