As a person, Jose was known for his wonderful personality, characterized by a keen sense of humor and a natural charisma. Family often described him as a bit of a flirt, but those who knew him well understood the depths of his kindness. He possessed a genuine desire to help others, a quality that resonated deeply within his community and family.

Jose’s passion for life was evident not only in his strong work ethic but also in his hobbies. He loved to dance and frequently entertained friends and family with his karaoke performances, becoming the life of every gathering he attended. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Lourdes Trevino; his loving children: Norma Jean Searl (Tom), Jose Gonzalo Trevino, Jr. (Rosa Maria), Vicente Trevino (Ana), and Elisa Gomez (Gilbert). Jose was proud of his grandchildren: Jeannette, Stephanie, Jessica, Jose III, Hector, Brianna, Samantha, Jasmin, Melissa, and Daniel. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Aubrey, Joaquin, Sabastian, Aracely, Noah, Liam, and Benicio. Jose’s bond with his family, including his sisters Lucila, Nora, and Yolanda, was a source of strength and joy throughout his life.

Jose was preceded in death by his first wife, Maria Elena Trevino, and siblings Rodolfo and Ramona. Their memories live on in the stories shared and the love passed down through generations.

The family invites all who wish to honor Jose's remarkable life to join them for a visitation on March 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels located at 3520 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204.
