Joseph (Joey/Bear) Zuniga

Joseph Zuniga (Joey/Bear) 52, passed away peacefully at home March 2, 2019. He was born in San Antonio, TX, on March 28, 1966. Those who will miss him forever are his loving Mother Valerianna Hunt, brother Gabriel Zuniga, his partner & significant other, Lydia San Miguel, step-father Roger Hunt, niece Jaclyn Trevino, nephew Kristopher Riffle, and Christopher San Miguel. He is preceded in death by grandparents Jose Maria & Anita Gonzales and Uncle Alec Gonzales.
He loved nature and being outdoors with his dog “Princess”; enjoyed gardening and camping. He was an associate of Wal-Mart New Braunfels and took pride in his work and enjoyed interacting with co-workers and customers. Joe had a genuine giving and generous spirit and felt compassion for all in need. He had a passion for playing guitar and rock and roll music. God used Joe by instilling in him a deep desire to help others and he believed in the good in people. He loved spending time with family and friends. We will always be grateful for the time he was with us.
On Sunday March 10, 2019 the family will welcome friends and family for a Celebration of Life service. Visitation with family from 1-1:30. The service is from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. Location: Puente & Sons Funeral Home & Chapel 14315 Judson Rd., San Antonio, TX.
