A year later, he married his high school sweetheart, Gloria. As a brave soldier, Juan deployed overseas and represented his country in Operation Desert Storm during the Gulf War. After 20 years of honorable service to his country, Juan retired as SFC from the U.S. Army and relocated back to San Antonio, Texas where he worked for and retired from the Federal Civil Service.
Juan enjoyed the finer moments of life with his loving family. He can be remembered as a Dallas Cowboys super fan, rooting for his team every week. He enjoyed dancing, grilling, swimming, and watching his favorite television series. He had the ability to be crafty with wood, painting, and fixing anything. Juan loved spending quality time with his grandchildren making special memories that will last a lifetime. He always knew how to make someone laugh with his humor and cheer them up. His smile brightened the room and will never be forgotten.
More than anything else, Juan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His time here on earth will have a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His passing will undoubtedly leave a profound void for his family and friends who love and miss him dearly.
