Gustav Ernst Krist Sr. was born June 5, 1940 in Czech Republic. He was born to Filamena and Joseph John Krist. They are preceded in death with his son Joseph John Krist and his brothers George Krist and Joe Krist. He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Krist married to her for 50 years. His children Charlene Krist-Nino, Gustav Ernst Krist Jr., and Ruth Ann Martinez. Grand children: Rudy James Nino III, Caseyopea F. Nino, Kenneth Martinez, Issac Martinez, Allen Krist, Jonathan Krist and Jeffery Krist with numerous nieces and nephews.
Gus immigrated from Czech Republic in the 1950’s with his parents and siblings. As an immigrant, he went to public school where he graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1958. There after he was in the Coast Guard where he eventually worked for CPS for 35 years where he retired. Gus made the truth his own in 1973 and was Baptized. He was a baptized Witness of Jehovah since then for 41 years. One of His most memorable periods was spending time with his family and friends camping, fishing at the river or at the coast and hunting. Gus loved the outdoors either working outside or enjoying his love of nature in the Hill Country. His love for the outdoors and nature will be missed by all those who love and cherish him.
His laughter and love of outdoors was an inspiration to his family and friends who enjoyed his company and companionship.
