June Rouse, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She has reunited with her beloved husband, Eddie, of 56 years in Heaven.
June was born in 1936 to the late August Kern and Lillian McCroy-Williams in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up alongside her brother, Donald Kern, with whom she was given the opportunity to reunite with late in life.
June married the love of her life, Edward, in 1956. Together they traveled the US and raised three loving children who survived them: Edward Rouse Jr. and wife Lou Ann, William Rouse, and Susan Sulaica and wife Dawn.
June was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren: Curtis Scheele, Cynthia Rouse, Kyle Rouse, Amy Torres, Stephen Rouse, and Ryan Scheele. Her legacy continues through her five great grandchildren: Faith, Addison, Sadie, Preslee, and Jackson.
June will be remembered not only for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle spirit, her steadfast devotion to her faith, but also her firecracker personality. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, compassion, and selflessness that will be cherished by all who knew her.
June's passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration. Her life was a testament to the power of love and faith, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of June's life will be held at the Seguin Heritage Museum on August 17, 2024, from 2-4 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seguin Heritage Museum with whom June had joyfully volunteered for over the years.
