It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Justin Michael Raney who left this world on August 9, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Justin was born on April 18, 1988, in the same city that he called home throughout his life.
Justin's journey will be honored and remembered through a series of services that will take place to celebrate his life. The first event a Visitation, will be held at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-S in San Antonio on August 23, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM and concluding at 11:00 AM. This will be followed by a Mass at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, commencing at 11:30 AM and ending at 12:30 PM. Finally, the Burial service will take place at San Jose Burial Park, starting at 1:30 PM and finishing at 2:30 PM on the same day.
Justin's hobbies and interests painted a vibrant picture of his life. From his basketball days in high school to actively participating in alumni tournaments, he displayed both skill and passion for the sport. As an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys, Justin's spirit shone brightly during game days. Beyond sports, Justin was known for his loving nature as a father, a son, and a grandson. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them and his friends.
Those who were blessed to know Justin during his time on Earth will remember his beautiful soul and good-hearted nature. In the eyes of his loved ones, Justin will forever remain a shining example of kindness and love.
Justin leaves behind his legacy through his loving children, Aiden Noel Raney and Isabella Rome Raney. He is survived by his mother, Alisa Patterson, her husband the man that raised him, Rafael Patterson, and is remembered by his brothers, Brandon Patterson and Trevor Patterson, and his sister, Sierra Raney. Justin's memory will also be cherished by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Gloria Flores, and his paternal grandmother, Ida G. Raney.
As we come together to bid farewell to Justin, let us hold onto the memories of his laughter, his love, and the light he brought into our lives. May his soul rest in peace, knowing that he was cherished and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
