Katheryne Louise Bogard

Katheryne Bogard, 87, wife of veteran John Bogard entered the Lord's Kingdom on July 5, 2015. Born Katheryne Louise Salerno in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ in 1927, Kay was the eldest of three children and survived by her brother Anthony Salerno and sister Frances Mitchell; sons Bryan and Michael; grandchildren Christopher, Shane, Lauren; and great-grandchildren Aiden, Cora, Xia,and Xyo.

At the age of 17, Kay flew for the NJ state Civil Air Patrol.

Throughout her life she held many supervisory, accounting, technical positions,
at NJBell, SWBell, Paul Anderson Co, the family insurance agency, and more.

Residing in San Antonio since 1967, Kay was a fraternal sister of Beta Sigma Phi; with 60+ years service; she was a Zeta Master and held every office in the chapter and council, and Woman of the Year many times.

Kay was also an active founding member of Prince of Peace Lutheran church.

Memorial to be held Saturday, 10am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church,
7303 Ray Bon, San Antonio.
