Kathleen "Kathy" entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 3, 2024 (in San Antonio, Texas) after recent months of battling ill health. Born on July 21. 1953, in Anchorage, Alaska, Kathy believed in mischief. She was a true "rebel without a cause". She even inspired her parents to send her to boarding school. In 1970, the family moved to San Antonio when her father's military career paved that way. Kathy graduated from North East ISD's Churchill High School in 1971.
She continued her education at San Antonio College, St. Phillip's College, a d the University of Texas - San Antonio. Pursuing a career in healthcare, Kathy obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996. For more than 20 years, Kathy remained employed as a nurse in various medical facilities. In 1986, she married her husband, Raymond (Ray) of more than 38 years. She shared two children, Chris and Luz, with Ray.
In Kathy's earlier years, she enjoyed working with crafts as fashion jewelry and clay. In more recent years, she became a night owl and liked to tinker with TikTok.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Ray; daughter, Luz McGee Garcia; two brothers: Doug McGee (Kittilee) and Michael McGee (Jeanne); one grandson: Eero Roxas Guerrero; few nephews and nieces; other relatives; and one best friend since childhood: Dana Vogeler. There are also three surviving fur babies: Lolly, Howard, and Baby. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Eugene McGee and Francile Baer McGee; two sisters: Jeanne Cantu and Janet Dauer; her son, Chris Garcia.
Cremation service has been entrusted to Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels.
