Kenneth W Tucker, Sr

Kenneth William Tucker Sr. was reunited with his beloved wife, Marion, in the presence of Our Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the age of 76. He was born August 12, 1937 to Melmouth and Theodora Tucker in New Orleans, La. Ken and Marion were married on Apr 26, 1958 and were soul mates for 55 years until her death on May 26, 2013. He started his career by working in the lab department at Jax Brewery in New Orleans in 1957 and later became the brewmaster in 1971. He received a B.S. in chemistry from Tulane University in 1967 and graduated from master brewing school at Wallerstein Laboratories, NY in 1969. After Jax Brewery closed in 1974, he worked at Schlitz brewery in Longview, TX, Falstaff Brewery in New Orleans, Lucky Lager Brewery in Vancouver, Wa. and retired from Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, TX in 1999. He was a caring father and loved his family dearly. We will miss him and listening to all the stories he told us over the years. He is survived by his sons: Kenneth W. Tucker, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Jeff E. Tucker, Michael Scott Tucker and his wife, Nancy; brother: Melmouth Tucker. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Charlie Jones, Lauren Tucker, Kenneth Tucker III, Kimberly Tucker, Christopher Tucker, Olivia Tucker, Benjamin Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Tucker. Services were held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.
