Kunjamma Yohannan, of San Antonio, Texas went to meet her Savior September 9, 2012 while at the Stone Oak Methodist Hospital, after an exhaustive battle with cancer. Born in Adoor, Kerala (India), April 16, 1949, to K.G. John Annamma Muthalaly-Padinjattekara, Kunjamma was an excellent student, a motivated worker, and most importantly a great servant of the Lord. During her 32 years of service at different General Motors locations in the US, she was recognized with numerous awards for her work accomplishments. She was also very popular with and well-respected by her co-workers and management. But she felt her greatest accomplishment was her support group of family and friends, who loved her dearly. She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2010, when she lived in Charlotte, NC. After five months of rigorous treatment, it went into remission for less than seven months. When it returned in mid 2011, she took early retirement to move to San Antonio for treatment. She was admitted to Stone Oak Hospital August, 7, 2012, and remained until her passing. In addition to her parents, Kunjamma is survived by her husband, Varghese -Thenmadathil -Ranni India, her daughters Biny, Bincy and Betsy, sons-in-law Titus Chandy, Matthew Abraham and Jay Ninan, grandchildren Michael, Caleb, Cianna, Alyssa and Daniel, her brothers Prof. P.J.Varghese[Joy] (Thiruvananthapuram-India), Late Mr.P.J.John [Babu], John Padinjattekara [Columbus,GA], sisters Ponnamma Somi[India], and Jolly Phillips [Columbus-Ohio]. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., September 15, 2012 at the Puente Sons Funeral Chapels, 14315 Judson Road, San Antonio, TX 78233.
