Larry Ray Thompson

Larry Ray Thompson, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 23, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.  He was 68 years old.  Larry was born in San Antonio on July 26, 1954.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen Denise Thompson; his little brother, Gary Thompson, and his parents, Enis and Lillian "Mimi" Thompson.  He was a kind and generous person who was always willing to help.  Larry was a one-of-a-kind soul with a wonderful sense of humor and contagious smile.

He is survived by his loving children, Douglas Ray Thompson and Denise Kathleen Thompson; his siblings, Clifford Thompson, Patricia Gembler, and Barbara Daniels; and numerous nieces and nephews.  His family takes comfort knowing he is now reunited with the love of his life, his beloved wife Kathleen Denise Thompson.  Larry cherished all of the 37 years he shared with his beloved wife Kathleen and the family they made.

Larry was a talented and hard-working electrician and a proud union member who earned the respect of his co-workers.  He was a strong and reliable man who provided a good life for his family.  He appreciated good music, good brisket, good friends, and a good time.  A man of many talents, Larry knew his way around cars, tools, barbecue pits, and was even known to catch a fish or two.  He was able to enjoy retirement, getting to go fishing with his friends and spending time with the ones he loved most.  He will be missed and remembered by many.
