How do you sum up a mans life in a few words? It is difficult. Our kind hearted sweet brother, loving son, uncle and friend Leon Anderson, Jr., was called to meet his maker on January 22, 2010 at the age of 56. Leon began his life in Mobile, Alabama and moved with his family to Texas in 1964. He is a graduate of Roosevelt High School, where he was on the award winning debate team. He attended San Antonio College and The University of Houston. While in school, Leon worked in the lumber treating business, and he then turned his customer service skills and talents to the The Long Distance business where he worked in Corpus Christi and Austin, and eventually at World Com of San Antonio. Leon was way before his time as an investor in an environmentally friendly automotive oil business. He loved to shoot pool and throw back a few with his many friends at Galaxy Billiards after a hard day of work. He loved classic Rock and Roll, fast cars and great comedy and science fiction both written and in film. He good at fixing things from cars to faucets he was our the fix it man around the house. Leon was quite the trivia expert and was always the go to guy for an answer on just about any subject; he was gifted with an analytical mind and great compassion. We will truly miss his presence and you can be sure the mold was broken when he was made. He is preceded in death by his loving mother JoNita and survived by his father: Leon Anderson; sisters: Lydia Mason (William), Kris Starr (James), Angel Coggins (Bill), Kim Garrighan (Tim), nieces and nephews: Jason, Lindsay, Tyler, Cody, Casey, Chelsea, Christian, Hannah, Lydia, Abby, and Maggie.
