He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Celia Gonzalez Barrera; daughter, Mary Barrera-McMahon; step-daughter, Rosa Maria Pena; sister, Yolanda Barrera; grandchildren, Joel Marcos Pena, Jacklynn Marisa Pena, Joseph Anthony McMahon, and Brandon Mathew McMahon.
