Colonel Lois MacTaggart died peacefully in San Antonio on August 8, 2012 after protracted illness. She was born December 9, 1929 in Norman, Oklahoma the fourth child of Neil B. and Esther Mayes MacTaggart. She is survived by her youngest sister, Eunice Bryden of Falls Church, Virginia, nephews Alan Bryden and Edwin Burgess, and niece Heather Bryden. Following graduation from Norman High School and the University of Oklahoma she served for 30 years in the Medical Specialist Corps of the US Army as a Physical Therapist assisting injured and wounded soldiers in their recovery and rehabilitation. She was assigned to hospital duty in several posts in the United States as well as in Korea and Germany. She was also assigned as a recruiter for 4th Army in San Antonio. After retirement in San Antonio she was active in lace making and enjoyed traveling plus the company of her many friends. In lieu of flowers, a tribute gift may be made to the charity of your choice.
